Schmuttergold is a two-gal team. Jen met Chloé while studying Graphic Design at Brighton University in the UK. They struck up a friendship comparing notes on their Jewish upbringing and since then have worked collaboratively designing Jewish greetings cards under the name Schmuttergold. Having tried letterpress, litho and screenprinting the girls were introduced to Gocco in 2008. Of course it was love at first sight. Surprisingly this is the first year they have printed Hannukah cards, before now they focused on “Kosher For Christmas” cards, for that ’awkward’ time of year. All of Schmuttergold’s cards are available from their website and everything that is hand printed can be found in their Etsy shop.
